Data We Collect

  • Account info: Name and email address via third-party sign-in. We do not store passwords.
  • Documents: IEP and 504 Plan PDFs uploaded by parents. Files are stored securely using encrypted cloud storage.
  • Analysis results: AI-generated reports are stored in our database and displayed on your dashboard.
  • Match requests: If you submit an advocate match request, we collect your stated support needs, disability categories, and scheduling preferences. This information is used to identify compatible advocates in our network.

How We Use Your Data

  • Uploaded documents are analyzed using AI technology. Your document content is not used to train AI models.
  • Analysis results are stored to display reports on your dashboard.
  • If you book an advocate consultation, your match request details are shared with that advocate to prepare for your consultation. If you choose to share your analysis report, that is also provided. No data is shared with advocates until you complete a booking.
  • We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising purposes.

Data Retention

  • Documents and reports are retained while your account is active.
  • You can delete any document and its associated analysis at any time from your dashboard.
  • If you delete your account, all data is permanently removed within 30 days.

  • AdvocateIQ processes education records on behalf of parents and guardians.
  • We do not knowingly collect data directly from children.
  • Parents control all uploads and can delete data at any time.

Third-Party Services

  • Authentication: We use a third-party sign-in provider to verify your identity. We receive your name and email address.
  • AI Analysis: Document analysis is performed by a third-party AI provider under strict data processing terms. Your content is not used for model training.
  • Hosting & Storage: Our application, database, and file storage are operated by reputable third-party cloud providers, each bound by data processing agreements.
